Specializing in couples and individual counseling
Individuals
My style of therapy can best be described as integrative as I draw from many treatment modalities based on the needs of my clients. Generally speaking, I favor a mind/body approach to psychotherapy. You will learn about yourself and how thoughts and behaviors often contribute to unpleasant feelings and create barriers to more fulfilling relationships and personal happiness. My somatic (body) techniques will help you become more conscious of how you breathe, move, speak, and where feelings are experienced in your body. Through a process of mindful reflection you will determine what is truly important in your life and begin to change your thoughts, behaviors and patterns of communication that no longer serve you. Ultimately, therapy will help you grow in your relationships and within yourself.
Couples
In couples work, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space in order for each person to feel heard, understood and seen. My work focuses on improving communication and resolving individual issues that interfere with your relationship. Couples learn how prior relationships/life experiences keep individuals “stuck” in destructive patterns of interaction which produce difficulty in their partnership. You will learn concrete tools to use at home in order to facilitate better communication and increased closeness. The aim of couples counseling is to build an intimate connection which has healthy communication, increased trust, and greater understanding of your partner’s needs in relationship. Therapy leads to a deeper understanding of both yourself and your partner which is the foundation for a more fulfilling relationship.

Fee
I try to make the treatment fee manageable for all clients. The fee is usually set upon initial phone contact. I provide a fee-range and ask that you commit to paying a set fee from that range that you feel is affordable. As with all topics, the fee is something that can be openly talked about and I encourage it.
